When to plant.
Daffodils can be planted from August to November, tulips a little later (October – November). Trees and hedges are best planted while they are dorment (have no leaves) from November to early March.
Things to think about when choosing a tree or shrub
Your soil – Is it suitable for the plant ?
The Aspect – Is the light right for the plant – will it get too little or too much sun ?
The eventual size – Will the tree or shrub outgrow the garden ?
The colour and shape – Will it look right ?
